Today we're at the beach, which is grey and rainy.
That's why it's nice to have a 4-year-old's perspective: In his mind, there is no rain. We're at the beach, and there is a swimming pool. With a slide.
Besides, to be honest, if he's happy, the rest of us are generally happy. If he had to plan a perfect day, I'm sure 90 percent of it would involve water (the other 10 percent would be devoted to eating cereal and kefir). So, with an ocean, pool, (and poolside cabana to keep out the rain), things are looking up. If there is a swim-up bar, I might not even miss the sun.
